RWW 140 Chiseling a Rabbet

I can think of many ways to cut a rabbet but sometimes boiling it down to the fundamental techniques can be a real skill builder. In this episode I’m presented with a really long hinge mortise for a piano style hinge. After thinking of several ways to cut it, I decided to cut to the chase and just do it with a chisel. Learning to handle a chisel will pay big dividends on every project you build.
