RWW 153 Even Williamsburg Tradesmen Make Mistakes
I had another outstanding trip to Colonial Williamsburg. The off season down there is the best kept secret. The weather is beautiful and the crowd are really low. This always gives me plenty of time to hang out with the wheelwrights, cabinetmakers, joiners, etc and learn a lot. During this trip I learned about a new trade, how 18th century craftsmen dealt with mass production, how research is uncovering new techniques, and how these superb craftsmen fix their woodworking mistakes. Enjoy, and make sure Williamsburg is on your travel list.
